Yep, this is exactly what it’s like – instead of being able to register with virtually any doctor (depends if they’re full) in our postcode area, not worrying about having money to pay for appointments, only having to pay a set fee for each item on a prescription even if we do have to pay prescription charges, and not having to worry whether our insurer will pay out for the appointment or how much the co-pay will be, socialized medicine means rude receptionists who swear at you… because a television show said so… a fictional television show.
That’s how a nurse treated me she wouldn’t help at all and she kept calling me “sweetheart” and I was like “call me sweetheart one more time and I’ll punch you in your smug ass face” and she was like “oh look our computer system went down” and the other nurse was like “why the fuck toy lyin?”
